In this project, you will learn the basics of photo manipulation as well as further exploring composition, elements, and principles of design. I will create a montage of images that communicates a message, opinion, thought, feeling, or narrative. The self-portrait project will be your first experience using Photoshop to create fine art. I will use a digital camera or phone to shoot a picture of yourself specifically for this project. You will also collect additional objects, photos, or images from the web. I will then fade those items in and out of the photo using a variety of Photoshop tools and techniques. My final piece should look very descriptive and very much explain who you are. You should not try to include pictures of everything you like. Instead, focus on portraying some sort of abstract idea. Think about how everything conveys that idea; everything from pictures to color choices and compositions affects the viewer’s response.
these were my sketches during the brainstorm session I decided not to continue with any of them and decide to look and think about more ideas and I came up with this. I enjoyed were I went with this and think it turned out really great.
In this part of the project I started with the project on the left side but I did not love how it was only my leg showing so what I did was I went back in to the photo studio and took another picture showing more of my body. With cutting out my hand and leg this gave the project more personality.
During this project I had to take many pictures because I had to cut out my body and then put the chair back in to it so then it made it look like my body is not there.
